KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL
Working with multiple clients and on such a prestigious project was an eagerly met challenge. In order to satisfy the requirements of all stakeholders, Novacon Group had to execute one of the most complex reinforcements and formworks for the suspended slab. This was in addition to foundation and earthworks, constructing 210m² of suspended exposed aggregate slab, minor drainage, installation of monuments and landscaping. In the end we were able to offer clients savings on time and value with unique engineering solutions.
MARARA ROAD RESERVE
Pleased to be contributing to such a key community space, Novacon Group took on these extensive works with enthusiasm. We were required to excavate park reserves, construct a new shared user path, install 980m² of coloured concrete, minor drainage, line-marking and landscaping. Our clients received high quality concrete finish with zero reworks, completed on-time with no variations.
FITZROY NORTH PATHS
Novacon Group was contracted to undertake these reinstatement works on a busy thoroughfare. The project included earthworks, custom concrete and bluestone kerb with asphalt foot paths. Our clients gave glowing feedback after having the project delivered under budget and on target. We were able to hand savings to our client and achieve beyond the client’s practical completion.
BROADMEADOWS ROAD
This project required extensive environmental controls given its residential location. Our client’s brief included excavation of existing road pavements, installation of 48 precast concrete speed humps, landscaping and reinstatement of surrounding areas. Novacon Group delivered the project on-time and with minimal disruptions to local residents with in-house designed traffic management plans.
STORMWATER SYSTEM
At multiple locations through Ormond, Glen Eira City Council engaged our services to upgrade their stormwater systems. We offered engineering solutions such as modified designs to suit and make the most of the existing systems while doubling and tripling the drainage capacity of the new system. Due to some locations having school holiday restrictions, Novacon Group completed works on a tight schedule with no defects or reworks. The client was also happy with our safety approach on very busy roads.
CAULFIELD LANEWAYS
This upgrade of multiple Right Of Ways and stormwater systems was undertaken with the safety and convenience of local residents in mind. The existing gravel paths were concreted ensuring design levels in keeping with drainage needs of the area. With the worksites being close by to parking for highly concentrated population zones, it was of utmost importance that we stuck to the proposed time-frame. Glen Eira City Council were once again pleased with the outcome, requiring no reworks or adjustments.
TRAFFIC ISLANDS
Glen Eira City Council required the construction of new traffic islands on several busy arterial roads. In order to properly fulfill these needs, our designs included safer pram crossings and minor drainage works. On a project so concerned with community road safety, Novacon Group were keen to lead by example using clear signage and closely monitoring all potential hazards. Both our client and the residents of Murrumbeena were impressed with the quality of the finish on our concrete works.
